Everyone deserves a confident and beautiful smile. For many, this means undergoing orthodontic treatment to move teeth into a more attractive and balanced position. Fortunately, modern orthodontics gives us Invisalign – a discreet and proven treatment that fits your lifestyle.

If you’re considering straightening your teeth with Invisalign and want to learn more about this revolutionary orthodontic treatment, we can help. Here are some answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

Due to its clear and removable design, Invisalign delivers a number of advantages over traditional braces, including the following:

  • Eat What You Want: You can remove them to eat, so there are no food restrictions!
  • Better and Easier Oral Hygiene: No need to battle trying to clean your smile around brackets and wires, simply take out your Invisalign aligners to brush and floss like you’ve always done!
  • Improved Comfort: Invisalign aligners are smooth and flat so you can avoid irritations to the gums, lips and cheeks which are common with metal braces.

Is Invisalign treatment time faster than traditional braces?
It depends on your specific needs and concerns. However, Invisalign is typically faster or the same as braces in terms of total treatment time.

How much do I need to wear my aligners?
While it is okay to remove your aligners to brush, floss and eat. You’ll need to wear your aligners for at least 20 to 22 hours per day to stay on track with your treatment.

Is Invisalign a common treatment?
Invisalign has gained widespread popularity and success. Statistics show that nearly 5 million patients have been treated with Invisalign worldwide!

Does insurance cover Invisalign?
Each dental and health insurance plan can be different. Invisalign, however, would be categorized and covered under orthodontic treatment. You’ll need to learn if your insurance policy features orthodontic benefits to know whether your Invisalign will be covered or partially covered. I just had my first appointment at Green Dental and I couldn't be happier with their service. I tend to be nervous when going to the dentist, but all of the staff were very welcoming and nice. The exam chair massages your back as you're getting your cleaning and there's a television on the ceiling to distract you from dental work. The cleaning and evaluation was very gentle. Thanks, Green Dental!

Top shelf dental care. Convenient location via METRO/King Street Station. Patient's dental chair features back massage capability along with TV viewing (CNN). Dr. Hye Park is very smooth. Dental experience beyond compare. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now.

Once again, even the cleaning was uneventful. Love being able to look outside while I'm in the chair. Dr. Park has the most gentle & tiny hands ! Love this place and the staff.
